Best rice cooker brand out there
This is the first time I've left a review for any product. But I just had to get the word out that Tiger is well known in the Asian communities to be the best rice cooker makers. They're built to last for decades, even in homes where rice is eaten three times a day! I have owned mine for over 5 years, and it has not given me a single problem. Anytime my rice is over- or under-cooked, it's due to the amount of water I used. One tip I'd give is, try not to scrape the nonstick pan otherwise your rice will stick to the pan's surface.
It's expensive, but if you cook rice often; it will be worth your money.
Use it more than once a week
I've had one of these 8 cup Tiger rice cookers for well over 20 years. I originally bought it as a gift for my mother. It was the first electric rice cooker I ever saw. Since we lived in the same house we all ended up using it. My wife and I make rice about 6 or 7 times a month. We always make extra and we ether freeze or store it in the refrigerator until we need it. The Tiger has performed flawlessly for the entire time we have had it. I would not hesitate to buy another one if something should happen to this one. The non-stick coating on the inside of he cooking bowl is still pristine as it only requires a soapy sponge to clean it. It is so easy to operate a child like me :D can make perfect rice anytime. Just learn to get your water to rice ratio right. I cannot give any appliance I ever used a higher rating.
Excellent Rice Cooker
I've had the same one for well over 5yrs and decided to get another one as gift. Make sure its made in japan like this one and not in china.
