Good immersion blender
I've been using combination immersion blending wands for years, with the bowls and the choppers and the detachable wand. This is by far the best wand I've owned. The blending canister is deep and fairly wide so there's very little spatter. I have not tried the chopping attachment, yet, but the blade and bowl are reasonably sized. And the wand! It has speed settings from low to high, a nice, long, detachable stem for reaching the bottom of a pot, and no edges to scratch surfaces. The trigger is easy to use and comfortable on the hand. I am very glad I read all reviews on similar products and chose this particular immersion wand.
Perfect for my kitchen needs
After killing my Braun stick blender by running it longer than 1 minute continuously, (ahem), I decided to upgrade a bit. I couldn't be happier - an extra $30 bought a highly superior model with two blending containers, solid constuction, super easy to use, with two blending speeds. Performs MUCH better than the Braun.
Note to self: you cannot run ANY of these stick blenders continuously longer than 1 minute. Give 'em a rest.
Highly recommend to you!
I am VERY happy with the Breville Immersion Blender! This replaces my disappointing, broken, seldom used Cuisinart mini chopper and almost-run-into-the-ground Magic Bullet. I use this blender almost every day for a smoothie or milkshake style protein shake. I did try chopping some sweet peppers in it. Next time I won't put it on 'high' for that. I have NO complaints at all with this product. I hope you get one, too, and enjoy it!
