Fantastic!
A few weeks before Christmas this year, I went to a friend's house and was introduced to the concept of a soymilk maker. I didn't even know such an item existed! We live in Manhattan, and soymilk here is very expensive - about $4.60 a quart, more sometimes. I'm very very lactose intolerant, and we drink a lot of soymilk - about a quart and a half a week. It adds up, as you might imagine!
My friend's maker was an old SoyaJoy that she bought off of Craigslist. I liked the quality of the milk, and came home raving about soymilk makers and how much money we'd save if we got one, and proceeded to research new soymilk makers online. My husband, dearheart that he is, bought me this one for Christmas after I subjected him to yet another evening's worth of research and raving! He's very patient. I was over the moon ecstatic. He also bought us 25 pounds (you read that right) of soybeans.
It is now 3 weeks later, and I have made & drank several quarts of soymilk, as well as...
Very good product. But it didn't last too long.
I bought this product about 18 months ago. It did an excellent job just as described by the manufacture. I was very satisfied and used it each morning (I mean every morning). I told all my friends that this is the best product ever made in China.
Well, 6 months later, the soymilk button (the right button) stopped working. So I used the middle button instead. This woked fine and I was still very satisfied.
Last week, the middle button quitted on me. So did the 3rd button.
If the product can last, say, over 3 years, I'd be satisfied.
If the product can last, say, over 5 years, I'd be satisfied, very.
However, if the product lasted only 1.5 yrs, I'm not satisfied. That's why I gave 3*s.
In conclusion, This product has a very good initial quality.
But it lacks reliability. It cannot maintain the good quality over time.
I hope that the manufacture put more effort in improving product reliability.
Great appliance
I'm very happy with this soymilk maker. Milk is smooth, fresh and clean up is a snap. I put some oats and walnuts together with soybean. The milk came out even better. It has a thicker texture and nutty taste. Much better than soymilk bought from the store. Chill in the fridge and I have soymilk any time. I use the left over (Okara) to cook with rice or bake stuff. It's nutritious and tastes great. Highly recommended.
