It works, has two zones, and looks good, but ...
You get what you pay for. This cooler seemed like a great deal, but there there are a couple of key issues:
1) The fans are LOUD. When you first load this thing up with warm bottles, it's going to very loud for a solid day as it cools all those bottles down. It does get better, but there will always be a constant hum in whatever room you keep this.
2)The shelf spacing is too tight. You can get all the bottles in, but it's very difficult to get them in and out once there are bottles on top and below the shelf you are trying to access.
Next time, I'll spend a little more money for a more recognized brand, and maybe a true compressor based cooling system
It is awesome ! I love it.
I've been using this wine cooler for the past few days. So far, my impression is positive despite I remember seeing a couple of mixed reviews. I took a chance because I couldn't find another dual zone wine cooler with wooden rack at the price I got it for. First, it looks quite nice compared to some of the ones I saw in stores. I am not remodeling my kitchen so i don't need one that goes under my kitchen counter top. This sits next to my mini bar so it looks great. It's a thermoelectric design so decently quiet enough. I set the temperature around 58 degree for the top section and 62 degree for the bottom where the red wine goes into. I don't like the red wine to be too cold. The wooden shelves actually is worth it for this price. I can't really complain at all. It's a worthy buy for me.
Unit ok but shipping is a big failure
The unit does hold 27 bottles, but if you use other than standard bottles, it will not hold 27 bottles. I had to pull two racks out to fit my White Star.
The noise level is ok however it took 3 days to get is cooled down.
The cost to ship was almost as expensive as the unit itself. I am very unimpressed with that point.
