Cheap plastic
Cheap plastic handle. I have had to replace this thing 4 times now over 10 years. Would have been nice to have made it out of sturdier materials since it gets pulled on every time the washer is opened. The handle cracks where the screws mount it to the door. Poor design. Either that or make it out of metal so it won't break. This handle can be easily damaged especially if the door is tried to be be opened when the automatic lock is still engaged.
Inferior Replacement Part
Don't buy this replacement washing machine handle from this supplier. It is an inferior piece of junk that broke after only 3 months of light usage. The original handle lasted 8 years! Don't waste your money. These guys do not sell OE quality parts and they refuse to stand behind the junk they sell. I would rate at zero stars.
SECOND TIME TO REPLACE
THIS IS THE SECOND HANDLE I HAD TO REPLACE IN OVER A YEAR - KENMORE DID NOT DESIGN THIS WELL FOR THE DUET - DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THE CRAFTMANSHIP
