Sunbeam GCSBCS-100 Turbo Steam Iron

Love this iron!
I would have to rate this iron a "best buy". I've used this iron regularly for about a month, and so far have not had any of the leaking problems I had with my previous (very expensive) Rowenta irons. I sew semi-professionally and find this Sunbeam iron to have great steam control and a sole plate tip that fits into tight places. Weight is heavy enough to put pressure on fabric without tiring my arm and wrist. It has a longer cord than usual and the cord is attached to the iron with the kind of swivel fitting found on the most expensive irons. Water tank is easy to fill, holds plenty. Controls are easy to use. Heat settings seem very precise and accurate. 15 minute auto shut-off gives me time to work; reheats quickly. I can't think of a negative comment.

Not fancy but a good workhorse
We have had this iron for about 2 months now. My husband irons his uniform every day without fail. So far it does not leak. We have no complaints about it. It is a great iron for the price.

Broke after 4 months
I bought this product from a Walmart about 4 months ago. I used it every morning and followed all maintenance procedures. 4 months in the iron stopped heating up all the way, it could not get to a temperature hot enough to produce steam no matter which setting I had it on. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM ALL SUNBEAM IRONS ALL TOGETHER. Unfortunately I did not keep my receipt, what a mistake. Customer service asked me for all my information only to tell me that I needed a receipt (even though I stated that at the beginning, why waste my time?). These irons are basically designed to break within a short period of time so that you have to buy a new one.
