It works great.... but....
I got this for myself because I needed a nice immersion blender for soups and such.
Pros: It's pretty! The two wands give you options for different sized pots/pans, and the fact that it has changeable heads makes it quite versital. It has great power!
Cons: There is more plastic going on here than it appears. The wand ends are metal coated plastic, the drive end is plastic on the motor housing, and the egg beater is just plain cheap looking. The different heads tend to suck up whatever you're making into their internal workings, making them very hard to clean.
If I had to do it all over again, I probably would buy something else. This is pretty, but it's not exactly what I was looking for.
Excellant Product
Had a Braun which finally gave up the ghost after 10 years; bought 2 cheaper models from Wal Mart and returned both the same day I bought them-JUNK. Wife loves her Kitchen Aid mixer so I gave this one a try; She loves it. Compact storage case is a bonus.
Heavy Duty, I use it daily
I purchased this to replace a hand blender that had died on me. I originally bought it to make smoothies, but I soon realized there is a lot more to this hand blender. It has so many useful accessories. One of my favorite accessories is the chopper. It is so easy to use and does a very good job chopping nuts etc. All of the accessories accept the two plastic containers and their tops fit into the handy storage box. It is heavier than my other cheaper hand blender. This one isn't made out of plastic. It is big and very sturdy. I didn't have any problems adjusting the speed with the dial on top of the blender, even when my hands were wet. This is a high quality hand blender that should last me forever. I highly recommend this product.
